The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!
Do you share my images?
Our number one priority is making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wrecking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse and aren’t for anyone else’s eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! If there are photos that I would like to share, I will ask your permission first, and only share what you are comfortable with!
Do I have to wear lingerie?
You do not! It all depends on your personality, style, and what makes YOU unique! Don’t underestimate the sexiness of a chunky off the shoulder sweater, your man's favorite jersey, or even just a simple white sheet! We do offer an in house client closet with a variety of items, including body jewelry, robes, shoes, sweaters, and of course lingerie.
Do you have payment plans?
We offer a few payment options! There is a booking retainer to book your shoot, and the balance is due one week before the date of the shoot! If you want more time to be able to pay off the shoot, you can schedule it a few months out, and pay it off in payments! Let me know if this is something that you want to set up!
Is hair and makeup included?
Hair and makeup is included in all our boudoir shoots! I think it’s really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help you complete your look, whether that’s “I just woke up like this” or Full on glam! You can bring any ideas you want for your makeup and we can try to use it for inspiration!
Do you Photoshop my images?
For your reveal appointment, you will be shown lightly edited images such as lighting and cropping. Then once your favorite images are chosen we discuss additional edits you may want. If you specifically do not want things such as stretch marks, cellulite, skin smoothing let me know, because we can do that on all final images. If you love the way you look and feel you prefer having the images lightly edited that’s ok too! My comfort level is your comfort level, and I’m happy to accommodate skin editing requests.
Where should I buy outfits?
Buying outfits is not necessary but there are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! Here is a long list to choose from with different style and sizing! Victoria’s Secret, Forever21, Adoreme.com, Torrid, eberjay.com, Aerie, foreveryourslingerie.com. Our client closet is composed of 400+ outfits, all ranging from XS-6X so I’m sure we can find something you’re happy with!
What type of print products do you have?
I try not to overwhelm you with too many options, but try to listen to what my clients love. Luxury albums are my most popular item because it not only makes a great gift, but displays your images beautifully, and can also be tucked away for privacy purposes. I also offer digitals, metal wall art, and folio boxes. Folio boxes are beautiful matted prints which can be hung and displayed or kept in your keepsake box. Another popular item I offer is a custom app you can download to your iphone which displays your images right on your phone with privacy settings to showcase to your friends or guy should you wish. I offer a la carte items should you want to purchase something on its own or a variety of items in a collection.
Do you offer digitals?
Our collections two and up include some sort of print product, but there is also an A La Carte list that you can choose from as well! On this list we have an option to add on digital images! These digital images come in a locked online gallery, for you to download and share!
I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?
Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that I would probably weird if you WEREN’T nervous. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot make your moment of “WOW” seeing your photos for the first time so much better!
How many outfits can I have?
Dependings on the collection you choose, you can have up to three outfits for your shoot! We can always choose more outfits than necessary to narrow it down.
Should I get to my shoot early?
No need to arrive early! We like to give our hair & makeup artist 15-minutes to setup before you arrive so we’re ready for you right on time!
Where is your studio located?
We are located in downtown Windsor, CO in a 2600 sq. ft. luxurious studio. There is so much history here, ask us about it!
